Thanksgiving/Christmas

The Thanksgiving holiday was really nice. I stayed in Dallas. My dad and youngest sister came up here to spend the holiday with me. We went over to Ms. Griffin's house. It was really nice, everyone enjoyed themselves-good company and good food!! We went out for Black Friday...yuck...it's better when you're in a big group. On Saturday, we drove out to Longview for my other little sister's basketball game.

I'm excited for the Christmas Holiday-I put my tree up :) It's soooo pretty. And, I hung a wreath on my front door this year too.

Meet Ava!!!

So...on a whim the last weekend in October...I went out and I bought a dog!!! She was 10wks old when I got her; she's a Yorkie Poo...and she's been A LOT of work!!! She was supposed to have been dewormed and had two distemper/parvo shots when I purchased her...Well, she got sick and when I took her to the vet, SURPRISE!!! She had worms!!!! And she also had a nasty parasite called Giardia...I'm still getting that treated-last sample delivered to the vet, hopefully she's alright. Dogs are pretty pricey when they are puppies!!! Anywho, she's so sweet and makes me laugh!! Here she is!!

25th Birthday Review

So...I have obviously been busy/lazy/etc etc., and decided to spend this weekend playing catch up with my blogging. My 25th birthday was a lot of fun; I really enjoyed myself and I'm glad for the people who were able to enjoy it with me. Let's see...I started by going out to dinner with my family. We went to an Italian restaurant called Antonia's. The next day (actual birthday) I went to a bakery called Crave in Houston and bought cupcakes for later that evening. My boyfriend, sister and some of my friends went out to Sonoma Wine and Bar Restaurant (YUM!!!) and then out to Drake to party. Here are some pics from that day:

My 25th Birthday!!

My 25th Birthday is on Saturday!! I'm excited!! I remember when several of my friends turned 25. Some were having a sort of mid life crisis and others were unmoved and not excited at all by what I consider to be a momentous occasion!! I am very content with the life that I have and what I have managed to attain for myself thus far. And to be completely honest, I truthfully probably had my version of a "midlife crisis" when I turned 24.

I have grown a great deal over the past year, and I still have plenty more growing to do. But, my feet are on solid ground...or at least more stable ground. I have an idea of the direction that I'd like my life to move in. I've learned that I can't plan everything, no matter how hard I try, and I've learned that I have to be flexible and ready for change. I am excited to see what happens in my life over the next year!

What better way to start blogging ( I actually set up this blog back in June or July!!) than with my 25th birthday! I expect that this year will be about tremendous growth and change in my life; spiritually, personally, in my relationship, in my career, in my educational aspirations, etc.

I plan to celebrate in both Houston and Dallas, so I will blog about those events and post some pictures afterward!!
